The Frankfurt (main) airport regional station is the underground train station at Frankfurt Airport in Frankfurt, Germany. It provides local S-Bahn and Regionalbahn services for the city and the Frankfurt/Rhine-Mediterranean metropolitan area. The station was opened on March 14, 1972, and there is a new passenger terminal (terminal Mitte, now known as Terminal 1). At the time it was only the second railway station serving the German airport (behind the Schönefeld Airport in Berlin).

In 1999, Frankfurt Airport (Frankfurt Airport Long-distance Station) opened a second railway station, mainly for long-distance trains, mainly ICE services.

The regional train station is located below the Terminal 1, Hall B. It is designed as an underground through station with three platform tracks (called “Regio 1” to “Regio 3”) with tracks 2 and 3 on either side. A central platform. The central platform is 410 meters long and the outer platform is 210 meters long. Vehicles with diesel traction can enter the regional station only when the exhaust emission level is below the set limit. Currently, the 612 diesel multi-unit is operated hourly via the regional station of the Frankfurt Central Station - Saarbrücken Central Station route.
